We are chartered through Okinawa with the OSMKKF (Okinawa Shorin Ryu Matsumura Karate and Kobudo Federation). Here is one of our students getting his promotion certificate that came from Okinawa, it is signed by Hanshi-sei Fusei Kise and Kaicho Isoa Kise. Great job Josh.

Kids classes

The Beginners Karate class is for ages 6-15.  The cost is $75 a month and is from 6:00-6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We teach beginners the basics of our Karate and to be safe, obey and respect their parents, and learn how to defend themselves.  Classes are fun, engaging, and a great workout. Once a student progresses and is ready to test for blue belt, they are invited by Sensei to switch to a more advanced class that is 1 hour long.

The Karate Kids classes is for ages 6-15 who have completed the Beginners class.  The cost is $75 a month and parents can choose from either 5:00-6:00 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays (depending on availability) and the focus is learning how to defend themselves, work together, and obey / respect parents.  In the video you will see the joy a student has from learning how to throw an attacker.

Weapons training for kids?

Absolutely!
Students become more coordinated by learning how to use traditional Okinawan weapons like the bo and sai.  They learn how to be careful with weapons and how to respect them.  In the video, one of our younger students is having his first lesson in using a bo (staff).  He did a great job!
